RamBox, BoxLink, deck rail and Utili-track bed systems and tonneau covers

Factory bed systems sit on or inside the bed rails, so cover makers write them into fit lines. Tyger's Ram 1500 T3 and T1 pages say "Not Compatible" with models with RamBox, and SyneticUSA's Ram retractable says it "WILL NOT FIT Rambox / Stepside models." For Toyota deck rail and Nissan Utili-track, makers split between "only fits" and "with or without." Check the exact phrase for your bed system.

The bed systems

Where the sources disagree

Tyger's compatibility blog says its covers are "RamBox compatible and work seamlessly with or without utility rails," while its Ram product pages list RamBox models as not compatible. The product page is the narrower and later statement for a specific cover and bed length. Truxedo's TruXport sheet for 2005-2015 Tacoma cargo track tells the installer to take off the rear rail end cap and any tie-downs, then reinstall them. Read the sheet or fit line, not a brand-wide claim.
