Floor liner fit conditions within one truck model

One model name can need several floor liner parts because makers split fit by cab type, floor type, front seating, rear fold-flat storage and transfer case shifter. WeatherTech's 2021 F-150 page asks five numbered questions, year included, before it shows a part. Husky Liners prints the same splits as notes, such as "w/ vinyl flooring, w/ flat-fold storage." Answer every one for your own truck.

What the makers ask

WeatherTech's F-150 FloorLiner page for 2021 asks for cab style (Regular Cab, SuperCab or SuperCrew), floor type, first row seating configuration, and whether the truck has rear under-seat fold-flat storage. Its 2024 example is a SuperCrew with carpet floor, bucket seating and fold-flat storage. The page explains the questions this way: fit means everything to WeatherTech. Husky Liners lists the same facts in a Notes column on each part.

Cab type and rear seat

The rear floor depends on the seat above it. Toyota's 2024 Tacoma e-brochure lists a 60/40 split folding rear seat on the Double Cab, and a fold-flat passenger seat and lockable rear storage panel on the XtraCab. The FitsMyTruck vehicle table gives the Tacoma two cab styles, the F-150 three (Regular Cab, SuperCab, SuperCrew) and the Silverado 1500 three (Regular Cab, Double Cab, Crew Cab). WeatherTech's Ford F-150 Under Seat Storage System page offers only SuperCab and SuperCrew for 2021, and says it fits with or without a FloorLiner.

Same name, different part

Husky's 3-piece set for the 2010 to 2018 Ram 1500 is the same part, 53628, that it lists for the 2019 to 2024 Ram 1500 Classic Quad Cab. A different 3-piece set, 54608, is listed for the 2019 to 2024 Ram 1500 Crew Cab. A year range alone would not tell you this; the model name and cab do. The fit chart guide covers the Classic.

Retention and one piece or two

WeatherTech says some vehicles use posts, snaps, hook-and-loop or other retention devices, and to check the owner's manual for the mat retention system. It adds that some designs allow a one-piece, over-the-hump liner while others need two pieces, and that the fitment notes and images show which. Husky says its liners use StayPut nibs plus factory retention post provisions, with no trimming.

Safety

WeatherTech says to remove the factory mats first, because stacking liners over them will likely interfere with vehicle controls. The vehicle's owner's manual governs mat retention.

Not covered here

No maker page read for this guide gave a fitment rule for dead pedals, heated or vented seats, or console shape, so none is stated. Bed liners are a separate product, covered in the drop-in versus spray-in guide.

Use it with

Look up parts in the liner tables after you have written down your cab, floor, seats, rear storage and shifter. Read the fit chart guide for year ranges and exclusions.
